How to Acquire a Bodyguard

There are two reasons for hiring a bodyguard: You need protection or you want to look like someone who needs protection. If you're in the second group, simply locate a large guy with a suit, shades and one of those little ear radios. If you really need protection, read on.



Step1
Educate yourself about the range of available services. Bodyguards are more than big guys with guns. Top security professionals are likely to have specialized driving skills, weapons training, risk avoidance skills and medical training.

Look in the phone book or online for security services in your area. Verify that the companies are licensed to operate within your state and that they are committed to working within the law.
